yeah, that's kinda the screwy thing about this anit-scalping system they've worked out; it may be keeping scalping to a minimum, but it's also screwing things up for people who legitimately can't go and would like to sell their tickets to someone for a decent price. Then the original ticket buyers are out money with nothing to show for it, and two other fans who could've gone otherwise, can't now because they can't use the tickets anyway. And that's just ANOTHER reason scalpers suck; if they didn't have this shady operation to begin with, the band wouldn't have implemented this measure at all.

ok, but you know what? there were all kinds of bulletins/information releases stating over and over and over that these tickets were NOT transferable.

if you or any of your friends would've bothered to read or process this in your heads, you probably could've saved yourself the money, frustration, and severe disappointment.

That being said, in the post I originally quoted you justified scalping in part by pointing out that the scalpers worked harder than the public - who is "unprepared" - to get the ticket. I'm just questioning how you can use that as justification. How is it possible to be unprepared?

There were tons of fans like me trying to get tickets to Asheville, sitting on the computer for hours. I even had two friends with me trying on their computers as well, and still only got tickets for one night. I'm willing to accept that a scalper can sometimes be luckier than the next guy in scoring a ticket, but implying that he's better prepared than those who are online and ready to go at the time of the sale is, to me, disingenuous. Unless there's something I'm missing, the guy (legitimately) selling tickets to Asheville for $1000 on eBay did the same thing I did; he just got lucky. He wasn't better prepared than me, he didn't work harder than me. That's all I'm saying. Is there something I'm missing?
Maybe this guy got lucky and got his tickets. Doesn't matter. He got the tickets. You didn't. Call it luck or whatever you want. He wins, you lose. Professional scalpers know how to increase their risk of "winning". This guy was probably just a lucky fan, and when he realized the market was so high for these shows, he decided that the money was worth more than seeing the band. Maybe he is still going to the show anyway and is just selling extras. Either way he is making a nice chunk of change.

You know, maybe if Billy Corgan and company played a larger venue than this, there wouldn't be such a problem with scalped tickets. Billy knew this, and is probably making some extra cash selling tickets on ebay.

See, I knew you were an idiot. But I didn't have any real proof.

It's your own fault. Way to let everyone down.

You know...I have a way to get you two tickets for a good price...

PM me.
