Thumbs down NHL 2003 for GameCube

It's making me grateful that I haven't sold NHL 2002 for my PS2 yet.

Passing is shitty, the limited speed burst is junk, there's no spin move, and you can't hit worth shit.

Hopefully, the version for the PS2 plays better.

What did you expect? All of the NHL's after 1996 are only good on the PC as far as realistic gameplay goes. 1997-2003 are terrible on consoles, especially nintendo consoles because of their controllers. The PS1+2 controller helps gameplay feel a little better but not much. Its too much like an arcade game when they port it for consoles. Either get it for PC or dont get it at all. If you absolutely must game a hockey game for a console get one like NHL hits because its just meant to be fun.

Um, I hate NHL Hitz.

2002 for the PS2 was great, IMO. Easy to pick up and play...goalie AI was a bit weak, though.

I'm gonna sell my copy of 2003 back to the store for a copy of 2003 for PS2...hopefully, the game plays a little better.
