if i eat too much, then i get hungry again in about 2 hours. i don't know why...

oh...
well, it's not good to eat too much anyway. it forces your digestive system to work too hard. never force your guts, and everybody will be happy.

Fruit juices are a bad idea. You should stick to vegetable juices, water and only tamper with any fruit juice that you fresh squeeze yourself. I've done this and it's extremely hard to get through, but also very satisfying as it does do the cleansing trick. That's the other thing-- you should stay away from cold juice, as well. Drink only warm or room temperature juices, because your body won't have to go into overdrive warming them up in your system.

I think 36 hours is a good amount of time. Just eat dinner one night, and then don't eat the entire next day, go to bed and have breakfast the day after that.

Also, stay active or as pre-occupied as possible. The only time I really notice an excruciating hunger is when I'm just sitting idle with nothing on my mind except for how hungry I am. Exercise and lots of water, for me, is a good way to forget how hungry I am. I could be starving, exercise for about 30 minutes, then drink a bunch of water and not have to eat for a few hours.

i went on a flintstones vitamins diet. i only ate the vitamins for 2 days and got a migraine and shaking and it was difficult to stand without fainting. never doing that again.

Yeah fruit juice isn't so good 'cause of all the sugars, even if they're natural. Most juices come from concentrates, too, vegetable juices surprisingly do too, and so they aren't the best choices for obvious reasons.

Maybe. I haven't had V8 in a long time so I don't know what's in it or how they make it, but always check the label! Make sure it isn't made from concentrate. You're almost better off just buying a juicer and juicing your own veggies. I have one, so I just bought carrots and celery and all sorts of other goodies to live off for a day. Makes it easier 'cause you know you're getting juice with no added crap.

Oh yeah! And cleaning your room/house is one of my choice forms of pre-occupation! Hard to feel the tummy grumbling over the vibrations of the vacuum cleaner.
