Halle Berry confirmed to play Catwoman?

this is what Variety magazine has reported. apparently Nicole Kidman turned down the offer, pbviously she thinks she is beyond it or something, and Ashley Judd wanted to do it but she is tied up with the broadway musical 'Cat On A Hot Tin Roof'(how ironic), so it looks like it'll be Halle. I don't think that is a bad choice, but Judd is more suited. it would be good to be able to say that an Academy Award winner is playing Catwoman though, that'll change some people into thinking it is just a silly superhero film

this is not a batman prequel, and it is not another batman, it is looking to be soley a catwoman project, although I guess the bat will make some kind of appearance
