Soft Boys back in the day, Replacements, Husker Du, Soul Asylum with the Grant Young line-up around Made to Be Broken, Gang of Four, original line-up, Pogues, Joy Division, Sex Pistols, The Clash (!), Depeche Mode w/ V. Clarke, VU - anytime Reed was in the band, Ride, The Jam, Pixies, Led Zeppelin (purely for nostalghic purposes), The Dictators back around 1975, The English Beat, Specials, Ramones (!), etc, etc, etc.

This list could probably go on forever.
