So, Ryan Giggs' goal....

would you call this un-fair or would you admire Giggs' quick-thinking?

I stick with Giggs, it was totally the mistake of Lille players - it is actually funny the players of their format don't know the rules - back home even kids know you have to have a player who will stand in front of the ball until the referee tells him to move away. Giggs has schooled them out.

Giggs has to ask "do i have to wait for the whistle?" if the ref says no then he is free to go whenever, no problem.

Great fun that goal, those lille lot acted like complete pricks trying to get our players sent off and having a paddy. Mature fans too.

exactly. He talked to the referee and he gave him a go, so what. You can't blame the mess of Lille players on Giggs.

I find it quite amusing that lille were outsmarted by none other than ryan giggs, bless him, he isnt the smartest.

I like Ryan Giggs a lot. Way more than the young arrogant players. He is almost like Premier League's Paolo Maldini for me.

Thierry Henry has scored a few like that for Arsenal in the Premiership the last couple of seasons. It is, like you say perfectly legit. The Lille disallowed goal, for a slight push, was pretty harsh though.

Giggs has been a great player for a long time; the first few months of the season he was awesome for Utd.
