So I'm having a debate about whether a potato is a vegetable or a grain product. Please give your opinions here

it's a vegetable. Because i saw on home improvement once, in the mans kitchen he's like I have my meat and vegetables. and for his vegetables he had a huge sack of potatoes. That makes them vegetables. Plus they grow underground so that probably makes them vegetables somehow.

Its a vegetable.
The part we eat is the root. The rest of the plant grows above ground. Same as carrots. It is in no way, shape, or form a grain product.

ummm...yeah what everyone else said. But isn't it also considered a starch, which is not a vegetable but still somehow related to wheat products or something? Corn is too, I think.
