I feel like I need to see the UK version. But I fell in love with the US version over the course of about two days. The UK version doesn't have John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer though. And they are quite possibly the two most likeable characters in the history of television.

I'm assuming John Krasinski is the US Tim. Man, I love Tim and Dawn so much. Dawn's mannerisms are so...

I hate both versions of the Office but the Uk version will always have so much more entertainment per episode.

Maybe thats something to do with the US entertainment industry ethos of whoring ideas for money.

i used to be of the opinion that i preferred the uk version, and i went back and watched it again, and no longer feel that way. i prefer a lot of elements of the uk version, but in the end there's nothing redeemable about brent's character. he becomes so unlikeable at the end that kind of messed it up for me. as blundering as michael scott is, he manages to be somewhat likeable at times, and it doesn't leave me with the miserable feeling brent does sometimes

The main thing that made the office so orignal/funny was it's documentary style of filming - this is what made it so much different from every other sitcom. When the first series aired people were actually unsure as to whether or not it was a documentary and I feel that this is the main reason why the UK version is better.

but that's what makes Brent so good.
