horizontal heels and toes? what do you mean? how do you manage keeping the board horizontal and going down at the same time in a drift without eventually going vertical in a direction? just alternate quickly or am i missing something? when i eventually got decent i just went heels then toes to go at slants at certain directions, but id eventually go really fast and crash in all my glory. maybe decent isnt a proper word for it but it felt like a big step from how i started when i had no clue at all of what i was doing.

hah i always thought it was funny when they asked me "goofy or normal". i was like, "damn, why dont they just call it right first or left first? if they want to fuck around like that they should just call it normal or retard."

Basically hating on lefties.

You manage it by lifting your toes so you are on a corner of the board and then you control which side you want to turn on by leaning in with you knees, its hard to describe but you will feel the pull of the board in response to your action. I learnt by going down the slope in this way as it gives you the power to turn the board at speed. You want to be aiming to be able to go in a straight line, then swing your board round so you are facing horizontally either up the slope or down the slope (whichever is easier) and then setting off again. But it is pretty fun to throw yourself down too.

this actually makes a lot of sense to me now and in accordance with what some other people were trying to say. i guess heels can act as more of the breaks while toes are like the accelerator? hopefully i can apply it the next time around.

Its fun but alot harder than skiing
it all depends on what you are used to. i think skiing is harder than boarding ever was for me, but that is just an opinion.

Yeah, I totally know what you mean. Sometimes I've contemplated buying an eksbawks but I don't really know what I'd play. I guess they're making a second Fable, which will hopefully take more than 8 hours to beat. Then there's Halo... That's about it, really.

If we're talking strictly the numbered series, 7 or 4 would probably be my favorite, just because I spent so much of my time as a pre-teen/teen playing it, racking up memories and now it's just nostalgic as heck for me. But, if any game in the FF compendium is fair game, I'd say FF Tactics Advanced. That game is just flawless. I beat it years ago when it first came out, and I still turn it on every once in awhile and do some work.

FF8 and me didn't really get along very well

They should've asked "goofy or regular", to be specific.

A stupid whore cut in front of my skiing Saturday and nearly forced me to fall off the side of the trail. I was livid and hurt my knee attempting to avoid the forest that was directly ahead.

do you ever get naked and then morph into your surroundings on the slopes?

That would be awesome....I'd jump out and scare little kids and shit if I was you

Why would you have to go naked? Or is that.... entirely optional?

underwear runs as they are called around here are alot of fun but usually result in ejection from the resort.

I tried snowboarding once when I had a terrible fever (didn't know it until I got home). I was like 12 or something. and it seemed hard as hell.

I ski. so much easier. and just as much fun, i would imagine. I'll be skiing in Montana in 10 days! wooooooo

I'd rather throw snowballs from the chairlift. I love seeing pink bras in pine trees.

Shapan - learn to toe turn and you will be able to do anything you want. That is the hardest part of snowboarding. Make sure you dig your toes into the mountain, or you will most surely catch an edge and that will hurt. Catch a hard edge once and you won't forget again! Once you got this down its all gravy.
Another tip is when you are turning, you can "guide" yourself to the side of the trail or whichever direction you want to turn to by shifting your weight in that direction. It will act like you are pulling yourself to the side of the trail.
