Default SUCK IT international politics

Been studying for that thing for a few restless nights now. Man, I was on top of my game today. 2.5 hours of straight essays. I approached this exam like it was a big game or something, getting all jumped up for it and stuff. Sat down and cranked out some pure prose. Yeeeee-aaaahh with my 94 average going in, I'm assured an A now.

I had do the following essays:

1. In today's globalizing world, how should security be defined? Some theorists argue that states should be given top priority (national security). Others give primacy to the security of individuals and their environment (human security and environmental security). Write an essay in which you evaluate these different notions of security, using examples to support your points. What might different conceptions of security imply for how states prioritize issues on the global agenda, paying particular attention to whether the agenda might be different for the Global North and the Global South?

2. Neoliberals believe that international law, organizations, integration, and democratization are the best approaches to preventing armed conflict in the international system. Compare and contrast this approach with the realist approach of balance of power and arms control. Which approach stands a greater chance of producing peace in the international system? Why?

Then we had a choice for the last one and I went with-

6. Explain the difference between compellence, deterrence, and preemption. Under what conditions was each used? Which method provides the greatest security for the 21st century?

A lot of writing. I filled up one of those blue book things. Still, it was pretty easy. On to US Foreign Policy, which is NOT easy.
