is fucking boring to watch. i appreciate it as an artform in its elaborate pointlessness, but damn.

i saw a production of the nutcracker this weekend. i was bored to tears. especially act 2 which was composed entirely of people dancing like queers for nearly an hour. at least the first act had some semblance of a plot.

totally agree. some family friends of ours are in the local production every year so we basically go every other year. it sucks

i went to a horrible low-budget nutcracker at a community college years ago. ugh. the lead male wore white tights that you could see through because they were so stretched out. bad bad bad bad bad.

You speak the truth. I respect the hell out of people who can do it... but I would rather watch paint dry than ever see another ballet.

In my 20+ years of taking ballet classes and dancing in ballets, I never once encountered a gay male dancer. I always thought the male dancers were pretty damn smart. There were ususally only 1 or 2 male dancers for every 20 female dancers and all the female dancers were really into them. Plus, they got to spend hours upon hours touching the inner thighs of the female dancers. Being a male dancer was a good way to get a lot of action.
