I didn't know they had this. Despite your stance on the war, this does help put the numbers in perspective.

Not making any judgements on the war or how its being handled, just strikes me as bizarre.

True. But I heard somewhere (and I'm probably faulty in how I'm repeating it), percentage wise compared to amount of troops sent for, let's say WWII, the casualty percentage for Iraq is higher since our troop numbers are much lower. I haven't substantiated this, but wonder if anyone else has heard this.
