I'll have half assed attempt cause all this is an interview right?

1/2)To me a sub culture is a culture within a larger culture. For example as part of the greater american pop culture you have the sub culture of rock and within the subculture of many different genres of rock such as goth, punk, emo, alternative, hipster/indie and whatever.

3)I'm not sure what really makes up a culture and that's what the question is essentially asking but I'm very sure the answer in regards to the subcultures I've mentioned would all be things superficial in nature.

4)Mainstream culture is a culture that is governed by the most popular behavior at a certain point in time.

5)No, guy

6)No

7)All sorts. I guess casually I'm always in all these track shorts that go down ot my knees and are a pretty loose fit. I pair this with any old cotton shirt from one of the athletic wear brands and a nice sweater if it's cold. When I go out I usually wear jeans or flare pants mixed with a nice shirt and sometimes a jacket. I have one pair of orange shoes whihc I wear absolutely everywhere

8)No, guy

9)Alternative rock and classical

10)Something like this:

The Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth, New Order, Joy Division, Marilyn Manson, Elliot Smith, Joanna Newsom, The Pixies, HUM, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Bush, Tool, The Who, Simon and Garfunkel, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, The Velvet Underground, Foo Fighters, Cypress Hill, Michael Jackson and Iron Maiden although that's a very rough order and list.

11)

I have no idea who these people are
Same as these guys
And these ones
Catalogue
Never heard of this
Or this
Or even this
Especially not this
This neither
What on earth is this
Babes
I don't get this scene
Babes
Guys I don't get

1. What is a subculture? A type of flapjack in Kerknanda made of chocolate and a variation of cheeses. They used to serve it in bowls made from corn, but health and safety intervened

2. Can you name some subcultures? They tried to do them without the cheeses, it was not very good.

3. What would you say defines them, or distinguishes them from everyone else? I think the cheese gives it that edge that some flapjacks lack.

4. What is Mainstream culture? In Germany they have a starbucks that sells Subculture

5. Do you consider yourself part of a subculture, if so which one? The chocolatey bit

6. What would you say defines your subculture? The smooth texture of cheeses blended with soft chocolate and rugged flapjacks oats

7. What type of clothing do you wear? A bit irrelevant to the subject, but I have one pair of shoes (DMs) and usually wear black. It's easy on the eye

8. Is there a specific brand or store? Nope

9. What type of music do you listen to? This is going really off-topic, but anything but pop-punk, new indie, emo and all that shit

10. Which bands in specific? (please in order of prefference) Anything from Slayer, Aphex Twin, Cocteau Twins, Jeff Buckley, The Damned, The Clash, 45 Grave, Coldcut, loads really IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER

11. Please tell me what you think of when I say the following names
- Banana Republic
Bananas
- The Gap
Queers
- Old Navy
Queers
- Victorias Secret
Women
- H&M
Biscuits
- Hot Topic
Burgers
- Torrid
Rain
- Elegant Gothic Lolita
Porno
- Visual Kai
Porno
- Velvet Goth
Again, I’d have to say porno
- Emo
Some fridged cunt taking a shit on the word 'music' and then crying about it
- Punk
Liberty spikes
- Goth
Black
- Mainstream or Pop culture
Lollipops

I would do this if it weren't such a poorly constructed survey
