WESTERN CONFERENCE 1. San Antonio 60-22 Not necessarily the best in the West but the hungriest and angriest. 2. Dallas 57-25 Slight hangover costs them the No. 1 seed 3. Phoenix 54-28 Once this team gels with Amare they will be fierce; tough division though. 4. Clippers 52-30 Would not be at all surprised to see them win the division over PHX. 5. Houston 48-34 Obviously banking on TMac and Yao staying healthy with this pick. 6. Lakers 45-37 Could see them winning anywhere between 39 and 55 games 7. Utah 43-39 This spot could easily go to Minny or even Denver or maaaaaybe Seattle. 8. Golden State 43-39 This is my out on a limb pick. Ive seen a lotta people picking them dead last. 9. Sac Town Queens 42-40 Jared/Debaser suicide watch begins in 3, 2, 1 10. Minnesota 40-42 Second in the Northworst 11. Denver 38-44 Firegeorgekarl.com 12. Seattle 34-48 Bigger question is whether they move to OKC next year. 13. New Orleans 33-49 Step back. 14. Portland 25-57 This team is 2 years away from even being .500. Poor NateMcMillan. 15. Memphis 20-62 W/o Battier & Pau hurt, question is who wins game between U of Memphis and Grizz. EASTERN CONFERENCE 1. Cleveland 54-28 Much like SW Division, the 2 best teams in the East come from Central Division. 2. Detroit 52-30 Better than CLE but too many funks where they'll lose 3 of 4 to keep up w/ James Gang. 3. New Jersey 52-30 No depth but shitty division, excellent starting rotation 4. Miami 51-31 Expect them to start out about 23-18 and finish 28-13. 5. Chicago 48-34 Not as good as everyone thinks they will be 6. Washington 47-35 And fully capable of knocking off Detroit in the first round 7. Orlando 43-39 I expect them to start off on fire till people figure out how to stop Dwight/Darko. 8. T-Dot 41-41 A shot in the dark. I think 8 through 11 is all about equal. 9. Boston 39-43 Wallymania. 10. Milwaukee 37-45 Bogut injury and uncertainty is why they are 10 and not 8. 11. Indiana 36-46 Wouldnt be surprised to see them win or lose 50. 12. New York 33-49 This is actually quite an improved team. 13. Philly 30-52 How blazed will AI get over the second half of the season having to suffer through this shit. 14. Atlanta 28-54 Pundits see light at end of tunnel for Hawks. They must have serious binoculars on. 15. Charlotte 24-58 Speaking of getting blazed before games, its the Adam Morrison Show. PLAYOFFS West: Spurs over Warriors 4-1 Mavs over Jizz 4-1 Suns over Lakers 4-3 Clippers over Rockets 4-3 Spurs over Clippers 4-2 Mavs over Suns 4-3 Spurs over Mavs 4-3 East: Cavs over T-Dot 4-1 Wiz over Nets 4-3 Bulls over Heat 4-3 'Stons over Magic 4-2 Cavs over Bulls 4-3 'Stons over Wiz 4-3 Cavs over 'Stons 4-3 Finals: Spurs over Cavs 4-3 Last edited by vipbrj : 10-26-2006 at 10:31 PM. |

from watching all the preseason bulls games - they still cant score and they're still turning the ball over way too much. i think they had 26 turnovers going into the 4th quarter last night.

telfair has some talent, as long as he stays away from trying to be gangsta he should do well in boston. he should start for them, i think he can gel with their young guys and up and down style, maybe develop some chemistry with pierce.
still needs to work on his jumper. one of the fastest players in the league. i know memphis doesnt have pau, but only 20 wins? thats a bit much. |

WEST (in order of playoff seed)
1. Dallas Mavericks - the best team in the West. With Dirk getting calls and the Little General calling shots, they'll have a hard time not repeating. 2. San Antonio Spurs - Dallas will inch them out overall. Love the more athletic frontcourt, I'm very excited to see how they play. 3. Phoenix Suns - Out of the possible divisional winners outside of Texas, these guys are the best. Everyone is anticipating Stoudamire's triumphant return but I've seen guys get hurt like him and not be the same guy when they returned. 4. Los Angeles Clippers - nothing really prevents them from being just as good as last year. Sam Cassell for Senate! 5. Houston Rockets - After two years of underachieving, a solid performance from Skip and Bonzi in the backcourt are putting H-town back in the playoffs. Don't forget that Bonzi was a Spur killer in the playoffs last year. 6. Denver Nuggets - I don't see them losing that much. They aren't that good though. 7. Utah Jazz - Quality roster and Mr. Do Everything should appear in the playoffs but faces stiff competition from 8-12. Any one of thes teams could make the playoffs. 8. New Orleans Hornets - You see how good them Saints are playing? There is definitely an inspirational factor. Plus, NO made moves to be better, even if Peja is a bitch, he's the best scoring option they've had since Monster Mash was healthy. 9. Los Angeles Lakers - Will make headlines by the end of the season because they are in the playoff hunt. I hate this team. 10. Golden State Warriors - My sleeper pick, which is basically copping out in picking them for the playoffs. 11. Sacramento Kings - They're ok, they need some more moves to make them better. I saw a lot of good come out against the Spurs but most of that was from Bonzi Wells and he's now gone. 12. Memphis Grizzlies - They have good talent even though they're hurting. 13. Minnesota Timberwolves - Garnett should be traded to Philadelphia to play with AI. It will never happen. 14. Seattle SuperSonics - No D, no chance. 15. Portland TrailBlazers - Worst teams in the West reside in the Pacific Northwest. EAST 1. Cleveland Cavaliers - D. Wade is getting hurt, everyone else got worse except Chicago so I guess they're conference champs. 2. Detroit Pistons - I LOL at Nazr, but he does play good D. Second in the conference. 3. Chicago Bulls - lets not get ahead of ourselves, shall we? Third in the conference. 4. New Jersey Nets - The East really sucks. 5. Orlando Magic - The east sucks, but the Magic are going to be a lot better. Darko and Dwight Howard are going to come up big, add into the mix the hearty Jameer Nelson and veteran leadership from Grant Hill I see them playing very good basketball by March. Not as good as the Pistons, Cavs, Bulls and Nets but better than the Heat sans D Wade who is going to get hurt. 6. Miami Heat - Wade goes down this year and they STILL make the playoffs. The east sucks. 7. Washington Wizards - No D, but they make playoffs. What was the chorus again? 8. Milwaukee Bucks - I believe in Bogut, and this team is pretty good even though they let go of TJ, which was a mistake. 9. Toronto Raptors - Improving steadily. 10. Indiana Pacers - Will start out strong but I see this team imploding 11. Boston Celtics - someone fire danny ainge 12. Philadelphia 76ers - It breaks my heart. It really does. 13. Charlotte Bobcats - Would have the worst record in the history of basketball if they played in the west, same for the rest of the pieces of shit below them. 14. New York Knicks - Good work on having the two most self-centered point guards in recent memory sharing the rock in the backcourt, Zeke. No wonder you ran the CBA into the ground. 15. Atlanta Hawks - will not dignify with comment. EDIT: remembered the NBA did away with rewarding divisional champions with higher seeds than they deserved. When are they going to do away with the arbitrary divisions anyway? Divisional opponents don't play each other more. Anyway. Spurs beat Dallas in the Western Finals. Cavs over Bulls in Eastern Finals. Spurs WALK over Cavaliers in NBA Finals. Last edited by Trotskilicious : 10-26-2006 at 10:20 PM. |

You forgot they're basing 1-3 seeds on record not divisional championship. |
