FEEL THAT BURN! (...so I joined a Gym)

On uh, it would've been last Friday night, me and a couple of my mates, somehow ended up with the conclusion that we'd join the Gym on Monday night.

Monday night, we joined the Gym, and made appointments for fitness assessments.

Today was mine. I was sort of expecting to have to do some physical activity... but I didn't. It was purely just a questionairre. Is this a little odd?

I have another appt booked in for Monday, to actually run through the workout that's been laid out for me, with one of the staff there.

Should I prepare myself for a whole new world of pain?

The workout I've got has a good 40 minutes of cardio in there, and another 20 minutes or so of weights, squats, step ups etc. No abs work like crunches or whatever, because the fact is, I couldn't do them at the moment.

The most exercise I usually get is walking to the kitchen.

Starting Height: 6'2"
Starting Weight: 308 pounds - and this is after I've already lost about 20 pounds...
Starting Resting Heart Rate: 84
Starting Blood Pressure: 140/90 - borderline hypertense

I have a friend who is like 6'5, he's an athlete and is able to jump 5 feet and over

At 308 they'll probably try just having you walk a whole bunch on the treadmill and hope for the best from there.

don't announce to the world that you are going to the gym until you have achieved some measurable results
