have you ever seen mirrar's skin? There would be irrepairable damage after first day in that oven down there. She's not made for that environment.

I didn't want to talk about this issue directly, as I consider myself a gentleman, but you forced me.

yeah umm ...

so the weather gets pretty wild over spring ... especially in Auckland, which has some pretty interesting & unique micro-climate things going on

fast moving systems, cold fronts from the sou-west vs warm fronts from nor-east, lots of tightly packed isobars/steep pressure gradients, converging over Auckland which is this thin strip of land sandwiched between two large bodies of water of different temperature = some of the most brilliant storms

the house i lived in was positioned such that when the tropical nor-easterly storms came in you could sit in the back yard under the open sky, and be completely sheltered from the wind and rain as you watched the storm pass out over the inner harbour ... this little pocket of calm in the midst of mad raging weather

if the weather conditions were right you could set up a little bed outside and have a sleep under the thunder, lightning, and howling wind ... one of the best thigns about that old villa on the cliff

attached is a shitty camera phone picture of the view from that back yard, looking out west ... it's only about half of the whole panorama
