Default i think Inside the Actor's Studio jumped the shark

cause i'm watching it featuring.. Tim Allen. I swear to god James Lipton said '..with the 3rd Santa Clause, Tim Allen completed this brilliant trifecta, showcasing himself as not just a comedian, but a dramatic actor'. Then they talk about the Shaggy Dog for a bit. Aren't the actors on this show supposed to be..good?

Has anyone seen the Dave Chappelle one?

He will always be Warden Gentles to me:

Tobias Fünke: "Are you calling me a coward?"
Warden Stefan Gentles: "There's only one man I've ever called a coward, and that's Brian Doyle Murray. No, what I'm calling you is a television actor."
Tobias Fünke: "Ouch."

I don't watch the show often but I did see the episode with Hugh Laurie on it a while ago which was pretty funny. Tim Allen is really pushing it though.

how was Lipton's acting? Does he play somthing like himself? (because i can't imagine Lipton being anything other than Lipton, he's a total caricature already).

Yeah, he was pretty similar to how he seems on Inside the Actor's Studio. Maybe a bit hammy but he was funny.

I think Teri Hatcher is going to be on there pretty soon. They'll put anyone on there.

I saw the chappelle one. I also saw a David Duchovny one. They were interesting, I wouldn't have expected it. But that host is such a tool.

I dislike Ben Affleck but I watched most of that one too. I had no idea some of these actors really have training with respected schools and teachers.

He's almost 80. I would have never guessed if I hadn't read that.

I forget which one it was but I actually saw one where Lipton was flirting with the male guest, and then he even danced on stage and did some other weird stuff. It was so strange. He was trying to get the guest to dance and the guest said you first. Man it could have been Duchovny but I'm not sure.

Well, if it was David Duchovny I really can't blame him. I'm a bit relieved I didn't witness it though.

I would like to see one with The Rock. But nothing would be better than Van Damme!

I love Inside the Actor's Studio.

I figure that after 12 seasons though, they're going to be grasping for "stars" to interview... Lipton over dramatizes everything, but I still like him.

I wouldn't have guessed that he's damn near 80. I would've thought 60's.
