Question Your unpopular movie opinions

No bitching about people's unpopular opinions. Just post yours.

The Aviator was boring and drawn out.

Tom Hank's best role was in Big.

The original superman movies were ok at best, I have no desire whatsoever to ever see them again, or to see the new one.

Jim Carrey played an interesting Riddler.

Bond movies are pretty meh. Regardless of who is playing Bond.

The scariest character in any movie is the mystery man from Lost Highway.

Red Dragon is well better than Manhunter. Cox is crap as 'Lecktor' - That guy is a very overrated actor and he's got too high an opinion of himself.

Hannibal is actually pretty good. Gary Oldman is excellent as Mason Verger.

Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick were actually quite enjoyable.

As much as I love John McClane, Jack Burton is the best action hero ever.

There is something undeniably awesome about the wicker man soundtrack.

Will Ferrell is pretty crap outside of Zoolander (where he is actually enjoyable) and anchorman (where he is bearable)

Marky Mark saps the joy from movies.

Michael Caine always plays the same character.

i've gotta say...i agree with all of those points. except for the mystery man from lost highway being the scariest character ever. i don't know who i would choose over him, though.

Donnie Darko is really thought-provoking in a philosophical way (but you have to watch it several times to fully understand it).

the lord of the rings trilogy is trash.

i prefer episodes I-III to episodes IV-VI in the star wars saga.

The Princess Bride is, possibly, the best movie ever made. Also, it was much better than the book.

I couldn't agree more, it shouldn't just be about that, but to go along with the deep and meaningful thought provoking films, it's sometimes just fun to get a bit tipsy and go along with a few mates to see something that you know's just going to be mindless fun.

YAHMEAN!?

-punchdrunk love is intense
-the lord of the rings is butchered, all the mythology has been leveled which makes it pointless.
-the terminator & terminator 2 are not special effects movie, the effects are there to support the story and not the other way around. terminator 3 is just a special effects movie and that's where it failed miserably.

M Night Shyamalan can do no wrong.

Lady in the Water is actually pretty fucking great.

Lord of The Rings Trilogy is the best movie ever made. (I look at all three movies as one of the same)

Freddy Kruger absolutely shits all over every other movie maniac ever conceived

Aeon Flux is a pretty descent sci fi, at least better then the 2 matrix sequels

Besides the Spidermans, Batman Begins, and Burtons Batman films, ALL OTHER COMIC BOOK HERO FILMS SUCK ASS. (This aint gonna be a popular opinion but I've never understood why Hellboy and the Xmens were so revered... )

The Wilson brothers (esp Owen) are terrible and unfunny
Wes Anderson movies are too contrived to be enjoyable
Elephant put me to sleep
I like pretty much everything Spielberg has directed

there's probably lots more, i just can't think of them right now

-yah, elephant bored me
-independance day is entertaining
-stardust memories is the best woody allen film
-star wars episode I was pretty good and episode III was too much.
-i don't think spider-man movies or other modern comic book movies are worth seeing and i haven't seen them.
-CGI hurts my eyes and has hurt a lot of movies

I want to see lady in the water, but the dire Signs has meant I will always be suspicious from now on, whenever he releases a new movie.

i'm pretty sure the fact that i think elephant is amazing is a way more unpopular opinion

by the way, i'm going to ignore the thread creators instructions and say that most of you dont have unpopular opinions, just stupid ones
