NEW YORK -- Benjamin Becker grew up idolizing players like Andre Agassi. Ironically, Becker will now be known as the last player to beat Agassi.

The 36-year-old Agassi, battling a bad back for most of the season, saw his run at the U.S. Open come to an end in the third round with a 7-5, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 7-5 loss to Becker. The German qualifier will play again on Monday against the winner of the Fernando Verdasco-Andy Roddick match.

Agassi, who announced at Wimbledon in June that the U.S. Open would be the last tournament before he retires, finishes his career with 60 career titles, including eight Grand Slams.
