Talking Armadillo chasing

So, uh, I just got back from armadillo chasing. I'm currently at my aunt and uncle's home just outside of Houston and, apparently, this is the hip and fun thing to do in the evenings in Texas. You get a big flashlight, locate the armadillos in your yard, and chase them into someone else's yard. Good times.

I've never heard of such a thing. And I can probably count on one hand the number of armadillo's I've seen around the parentals.

I've lived in Texas my entire life and have never chased an armadillo...

my wife's aunt runs through the woods and catches them by their tails.... but what's the point of chasing them into someone elses yard. are they over there chasing them back into your yard? is it a team game? whoever scores the most armadillos wins??

I saw a roadkill armadillo by my apartment. I've never seen them over here. It's weird. Those little fuckers are everywhere.

There were a bunch of them out and about tonight. But, my aunt and uncle do live a newer subdivision. An alligator, possums, deer, snakes, bobcats, and owls have also been spotted here on their property. We don't chase the bobcats, though.
