So I totally got owned today...

while walking through some trails down the street. It seemed like a perfectly harmless activity at the time. In fact, by my standards I was approaching what could be considered a reasonably decent mood. Of course that all changed, and changed mightily when some fucking owl started dive bombing me. The first time I'd just thought it flew over my head so you can imagine how pleasent I felt when seconds later a pair of claws dug into my skull for a quick scrape. God, what an asshole. After two more swoops I had to run just to get away. What I would have given to have had a rock nearby. Yes, a nice solid, fist sized grenade I could have launched on his sorry ass as he landed on a nearby branch. Just sitting there, all pompous and proud. Even now I'm contemplating going back tommorow with a few of my freinds. Mr. Bat and Mr. Aeresol Can.

I really should have. I was so frustrated by the fact that there was only loose trail maltch or whatever around. I threw some of that at the fucker but I don't think it did anything. Down the trail I grabbed a wooden club and I was just praying it would pop out of the trees and take one last dive at me, but no such luck. I would have enjoyed that sooo much. Too much infact. I never get to fight back.

As to why the owl saw fit to accost me, well I just figured it was just protecting it's terratory or some shit, but now I'm worried. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that I was taking mental piss on the concept of karma at the time. I remember the exact word in my brain when it's claws dug into me was "karma".

Oh, now that I've had a good sleep I can look back on the incident with some equanimity, but the owl happens to live in a very busy park. I don't like his chances.
