i'm going in for jury selection tomorrow - Page 2

well,

the judge had brought up a hypothetical situation. we were asked if, in a first-degree murder case, the sole piece of evidence the prosecution had was the testimony of one eye-witness, would we be inclined to believe that witness/could we convict based off of that alone. i said i could not. the prosecutor then explained how law says we would have to make a judgement based off of that alone, blah blah blah. i replied "well, if that were the only thing i was given to base a decision on, yes, i suppose the law says i would have to and i would abide by that, although personally i feel the prosecution would have done an extremely inadequate job and i would still morally have reasonable doubt."

that's how i got out of jury duty. bitch dismissed me as quickly as she could.

That is seriously fucking disturbing... murder better be convictable under those circumstances only when you have a damn reliable witness
