On average, how many work-related e-mails do you get a day? - Page 2

Has anyone called out sppunk on this obvious bullshit?

125 emails for work a day = 500 per 5-day work week.

How does a guy who only works 40 hours a week, never works nights, and never works weekends respond to 500 emails a week unless that is his only job (answering emails).

I get probably an average of 25 per day and maybe 5-10 for the weekend, and it is hard enough to respond to those in a 50-hour work week amdist my other responsibilties at work.

Like I pointed out earlier, I only need to respond to a quarter or so - many times less than that.

But I get cc'd on tons of crap.

I get about 100 a day as well. I respond to about 15 a day.

Well what is the point of counting CCs that don't pertain to you? To me that is a liberal definition of "work-related" emails. If I ******* every email that goes to "Attorneys All," "Staff All," or "Denton Staff All" I would be counting more like 75 a day. But I don't see how an email that I ignore should count as "work-related." It's really just spam email sent inter-office.

between 2 and 6 on an average day - this *******s weekends. There is no office for my job and I don't sit at a desk ever so its always my personal time at home when I find them. My coworker will email me at 6 am or 8 pm on a Saturday and expect a timely phone call in return. Pisses me off.

I left work early guys and I didnt really receive any more emails, which is actually why I left becuase me doing work required them to respond to my emails. whatever it can wait til tuesday

I only received 17 emails today that require a response or provided relevant information. And even those that required a response did not require an in-depth response.
