personal notebook - 2 years i think - IBM T41

both going strong, aside from the usb on the personal notebook not working with my ipod, and the ac input jack being messed up on the personal notebook

my personal one since the summer of 2002, still works, I can tell it's starting to go shitty but I think it will last for at least another 6 months. It's a Gateway and has lasted longer than I thought it would.

my work one I've had for a month or two and it's brand new as far as I know. It's an HP.

Dell PC since April 2002. I have been ready for a new one for the past year.

Ich, I made a HUGE mistake. I should have bought a goddamned laptop!!! Or at least suck it up and threw in the money for a slim moniter. This thing is a clunky godforsaken monstrosity.

I have a Dell Dimension 8300, I have been using it since November of 2004, I have upgraded the RAM, HDD and added a few PCI cards. I want to build a new sweet machine before Vista arrives.

I've had my mac for ... maybe 2 months now. My pc laptop (dell) is from 2000, but still running okay, and I just got it this past christmas.

I'm hoping to buy my coworker's ibook which she just bought in May... she's wanting to upgrade to a macbook.

iMac: almost 4.5 years and it's dying a very painful death, the CD drive doesn't work anymore. I'm going to give it to my grandfather soon.
iBook: 3 years. It's in great shape.

I just finished building one a couple of months ago. Dual-core is where it's at. It's a lot cheaper to build your own computer by buying separate parts. I got all this for $1,000

Pentium motherboard w/ 5.1 audio
Pentium D @ 3,0 ghz overclocked to 3.5
300 GB SATA Harddrive
Nvidia Geforce 760 256mb
1 gig of DDR2

PS: Dell sucks

though the thing with the pentium d is that it gets extremely hot when overclocked. make sure you get at least 4-5 fans in your case

That's good. I made the mistake of buying everything at once and now I can barely pay the rest of the bills. Just take your time
