i just found out that i am set to inherit 25% of my grandfather's estate

he died this past christmas eve. i'm not expecting there to be much left, though. his girlfriend sold his house, 22 acres of land, his car and two garages, took all his money and put him in a home all while he was suffering from alzheimers.

that sounds mighty illegal, i work at a title agency, if your grandpa has azheimers he shouldn't be signing any POA

yeah dude, from what little experience i have with that kind of thing i don't see how she could have gotten power of attorney. threaten to sue her and then just take all your grandpa's money/property back!!

well, the attorney that drafted up the power of attorney asked my grandfather a few questions, and apparently decided that he was of sound enough mind. she probably wouldn't have gotten paid nearly as much if she decided contrary. and what accredits a lawyer to judge someones mental capacity?

honestly, that doesn't sound quite right; i would do some serious investigation into this or hire someone to do so

the problem is that attorneys are expensive as shit, so it's not as easy as just "hire a lawyer"
