Really?
Well, the next time I visit my sister, I'll recommend the bus.
I usually don't drive while in Pittsburgh though.... my sister drives everywhere...But just driving to Beaver and getting to her Apt. is like a suicidal mission.

well i don't go on dates. but there's a bus that goes right to Mr. Small's for concerts. it's not inconvenient at all.

what suburb do you live in? i'm really close to downtown so it's easier i guess.

Oh, speaking of which, no good bands ever come here. I had to go out into the middle of nowhere in Ohio to see Radiohead. When SP toured, towards the end, they didn't come here. A lot of big bands miss Pittsburgh. Constantly. Because there's so many old people, they figure there's not a big enough market here. And there probably isn't. All the small venues close. It's so depressing. There's not much culture here.
Where in Ohio did you see SP?

In Columbus? or Cleveland/Akron area?

Anybody ever go to concerts at the Tweeter in Camden right over the bridge?

And what the fuck is up with Bob O'Connor, firing all of his people and replacing them with close friends and family? Is he _trying_ to be a liberal version of George W. Bush?

This city is such a joke. Mayor Murphy did enough stupid shit. Like put the Waterfront a good distance from Pittsburgh, and not give the people who live behind it a cent from it being there; it instead pours directly into Pittsburgh. The suburbs could use the revenue, too. Let's face it Murphy, your plan didn't work, I don't see Pittsburgh as some mecca thanks to your stupid ideas.

I'm a liberal, but I've gotta say, the people in charge of Pittsburgh are just plain stupid. It's not a matter of being too liberal or conservative or whatever... these people ARE JUST STUPID.

I've never seen SP yet. When they DID come here before, the first time I tried to go see them (Adore), tickets sold out instantly. I couldn't go to the arising. And their final S+P tour... nope, never came here.

That's why I try not to get too excited about SP's reunion... they'll tour of course, but they won't come here anyway

nevermind.

the developments they're considering for the Fifth and Forbes corridor seem pretty exciting, but that's been going on for years. and you're right about how it won't improve the suburbs anyway. the new tunnels under the Allegheny are stupid ideas too. what suburb do you live in?

We need Graveflower in here. He's the only person that lives close to me in PA.

Come on down - you'd be within 25 minutes from me. We spent quite a bit of time in Blue Ball this past Tuesday.

Yes, Blue Ball is on the other side of Intercourse. Those crazy Amish and their township names ...

I've been to Harrisburg a few times with my family. It's a decent city. I saw a Senators game once. I love that bridge you walk across.
