Um. On Saturday night, the boy and I blew off a party at the Waste Management Facility, in order to stay home, have sex, and watch Say Anything. Got up early Sunday morning (well, later than normal, but early for a weekend), had more sex, went to the gym, went to brunch - where we were informed by all and sundry that we'd missed a kickass party.

Spent most of the afternoon catching up on e-mail, travel planning, and helping the boy with his resume. He's a mechanic and is applying for a contract working on armored Canadian military vehicles in Darfur. I'm afraid he's going to get the job and end up getting shot or something - but it sounds like an awesome gig. Microwaved leftover quesadillas because we'd missed dinner, did my laundry, and fell asleep watching the "Torture Channel", where they broadcast peoples' pretty vacation pictures of sunny tropical beaches, their dogs and cats back home, children, trees, and other things that none of us will see for months. :P Not very exciting. A pretty mellow day. But nice to have a day off.

Friday night - left work and got the train up to glasgow, watched 3 episodes of star trek tng on the train

Got picked up by my brother, drove out to a dodgy area of glasgow and picked up an oz of sticky icky. Picked up a mate on the way back to my mums and then another turned up later. Had a chat with my mum cause I hadn't seen her in months, then my brother and his wife started talking to her about buying houses. We went upstairs and chilled and watched Office Space after a while.

Saturday - Saw my sister and brother in law, with their kids from early morning to mid afternoon. Was just playing with them for ages and having a general chat with everyone. Then I went out to get drinks and a meal with a few mates (including glasgowkiss and radiofred) don't think I got a chance to talk to craig all that much at the meal because of the seating arrangements, didn't say bye to some of the people who couldn't make the meal cause I hadn't had a drink for a while and was already half cut. Got a nice meal (fried mozerella cubes, really nice steak and mature cheddar sandwich with the best fries I've had in years and then a caramel shortcake sundae) went back to mine with 3 mates, got very glazed, tried to watch the weatherman but it wasn't happening, they phoned a taxi and we spent an hour waiting downstairs for it, trying not to fall asleep.

Sunday - got up early and had a family dinner about 12:30-1pm, watched the narnia movie, part before and part after, with my nephews. It was actually quite good. Headed back down on the train, watched Alien Vs Predator for the first time, which wasn't quite as bad as I expected. Watched some of Domino as well. Got back to Blackpool and saw the wife for a wee while and then just went to bed pretty early.

sat - went to an antique furniture market with the gf. bought a desk. had a haircut. watched a dvds.

sun - bought a bookshelf. watched football at a pub(trying to get into the world cup & this english obsession with football). assembled the bookshelf. slept.

Went to a wedding on Sunday, at a winery. Outdoor weddings + June + far inland = stupid idea

Saturday... took a friend who had stayed the week at my house to the airport, ate greek food, smoked tons of pot and fell asleep at 4pm, woke up, ate with my g/f then fell asleep with her

Sunday... went to oakland to pick up a friend who flew in from la, ate greek again, took her back to her place, drank some tequila she brought from mexico, went to orinda to watch an inconvienent truth with a friend, we smoked a joint and drank a bottle of champagne in the car before watching it, then i went home

Friday, my friends and I went over to a friend's apartment (ages away from the T and it was slippery from the rain and I tripped and busted my toe on brick lining a tree in the middle of the sidewalk) to watch the game and drink beer and eat pizza.

Saturday, we went shopping so I could get a get-well present for my brother and some clothes for work. And there was a huge brick sticking up in the middle of the sidewalk and I busted the same toe again. And we missed the walkoff. Then we watched the Sopranos and made dinner and got some pastry and played Trivial Pursuit.

Sunday, we went to the gym and naturally followed that up with Chinese food. And watched Unbreakable and then 2004 ALCS game 5 and played more trivial pursuit.

It was a pretty busy weekend.
