so, where is the line drawn?

thanking God is enough, but mentioning how God helped her is wrong?

So let me ask you, should there be a line? Where would you draw it?

uh...i'm not asking for a line to be drawn. translucent says it'd be fine to thank God, but not go into detail of why she's thanking Him, so I asked him where should it be drawn.

i think she had every right to thank God and explain that she believes God helped her through the year(s).

i also believe the aclu are extremists.

Yeah, but what she wanted to say *******d: "... a reference to God's love being so great that he gave his only son to suffer an excruciated death in order to cover everyone's shortcomings and forge a path to heaven."
That has nothing to do with her success, or how to attain it.

And the school agrees with you:

"We review the speeches and tell them they may not proselytize," Hoffman said. "We encourage people to talk about religion and the impact on their lives. But when that discussion crosses over to become proselytizing, then we to tell students they can't do that."
