How does one go about setting up dual monitors for a computer? How do I know that a video card will support this? Is there a special name for this?

step 3: remove old video card
step 4: install new video card
step 5: install video card software
step 6: plug in 2nd monitor

oh yeah, if you don't like the multiple desktop manager software the card you get comes with (if it even comes with any at all) then I highly recommend this 3rd party software http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/. Its way faster and easier to use and understand than the big, slow nvidia software... it's not free, unfortunately...
