i scored an interview

i do it a considerable amount right now. i take orders and inform people about the products. this is really only my secondary duty though. most of the time i'm walking around assembling orders into packages. it's a process that repeats itself every 10 minutes, which is a little less than twice the target call time in most call centers. i suppose the only thing that makes me nervous about talking to strangers on the phone is being underprepared to answer their questions. and i'm sure i'd be adequately trained and everything so ill preparedness shouldn't be something to worry about.

Not trying to rain on your parade, just realize that 3 things people get really upset about are insurance, retirement and 401k problems. Mainly because when you're dealing with these issues you're dealing with the only source of income these people have.

I worked for an insurance company in their disability department and everyone I spoke to was very very angry. Even the people who had their claims approved still wanted someone to vent their anger towards. I made about the same thing you did, benefits, vacation and flexible hours. I was also a supervisor and they offered to send me to business school for free.

I quit to move to Chicago and work as an art framer. Heh.

I never said I had it all. I will say though that it was pretty good being 19, making almost 2 grand a month and only having about $400 in bills for my own place and car. It was good experience and since I didn't go to college one might think building a decent resume would be important.

Exactly what do you do at your job?

i work the cash register at a golf pro shop for my univeristy! OOOOOOOH BEAT THAT! i got 22 hours last week! yeaaaaaaaaah i'm a badass!

I’m quite confident that I am more successful then you though. If you want to do the material comparisons that is.
I’m also proud of myself because everything I have in my life I’ve got for myself. So yeah.
