i dont really know calderon either. i just read about them in the local media. according to them obrador is a leftist/populist champion of the people whereas calderon is pro business/pro capitalist. so judging by that i'm gonna have to side with obrador.

not that i think any of them are gonna stop millions of your countrymen from coming into this country illegally. :shrug:

Well that is correct. But why would you be so inclined to vote for a populist? Obrador has some good qualities necessary to make a good leader, he's also a great media man and has spoken about some of the real problems that México faces; however I don't think his proposals are what México needs to progress and leave behind poverty.

Calderón with a more social sensitivity would be better, but I still think he's the right option (no pun intended), even though there are some groups of his party that I definitely don't like.

It's been a very polarized campaign and as much as I don't like Obrador I don't think he's really a "danger to México" and I hope that whoever ends up winning will earn/have the capability to earn the support of the political class to allow him to do a good ruling.
