Default A Prairie Home Companion

Is absolutely wonderful.

The funniest new film I've seen this year, easily.

The film does a terrific job of portraying what you imagine the show to be like.

The actual show is going on in Chicago tonight, which is about 3 hours from where I live. Tickets are pretty pricey though, and I just heard about it today....oh well.
My gf's dad obsessively tapes the radio broadcast and he let us borrow about 30 tapes of Prarie Home Companion, which is great.
I've somewhat lost interest in PHC though and am now fairly obsessed with This American Life-- I'd highly recommend it. You can listen to them online, too. http://www.thisamericanlife.org

garrison keillor is great, i couldnt believe what he looked like when i first saw a picture of him after years of listening to him. he sounds like such a suave, attractive guy.

i dont know about this movie, though. i hate meryl streep and i hate lindsay lohan. hollywood is so awful, they have to make everything so damn marketable

I enjoyed it. I mean, it's average for Altman, but above average for most drivel out there.

sean doesn't look like a 60 year old man.

prairie home companion is too bizarre for me. it's way too corny and i don't understand what the charm is. i love that garrison is a multi-millionaire on his third marriage but he still tries to portray that he's a humble midwesterner.
