I always thought high maintenance was more like if a girl was like a melodramatic, emotional wreck all the time, always needing a lot of tending to. And like requiring lots of expensive gifts and pampering and whatnot.

i like showers so i take long ones. my hair is an unruly afro so i have to put alot of products in and blowdry it most days. my skin is really dry so i apply lotion over every inch of my body. i like makeup and beauty products so i use them. i don't think i'm annoyingly girly though.

my girlfriend has this stuff she puts on her face that hardens after ten minutes and then she peels it off and it looks really scary, like she's tearing off her face!

yes and no. i go through phases. right now i'm in a stubbly, 'i could give a fuck' phase. on occasion i'll spend 2 hours doing my makeup, though

I don't wear makeup, I'm not at all girly, I'm not overly dramatic and I don't expect to be pampered, but I'm still high maintenance.

It's like that scene from When Harry Met Sally when Harry was saying something like "no, you're worse. You're one of those high maintenance girls that thinks she's low maintenance."
I'm not high mainentance in that overly dramatic way or that I need someone by my side 24/7 way. But, I do love loooooong showers. And I do spend forever straightening my hair. And do I like to spend a long time puttng on my make-up and choosing my outfit, etc. However, I don't actually do that everyday...if I'm only going to work, I just go straight out of the shower...but, if I am going somewhere after work, then I have to do all that girly stuff. ------------------ ~*~Samantha~*~ http://homepages.nyu.edu/~sag249/sigankle.jpg |
