And BTW, you'd be surprised how many people's knowledge of DC consists of the sole fact that Marion Barry smokes crack. My dad recovers impounded cars for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Once Marion Barry hit a pedestrian and it was kept really quiet, but my dad had to go get the car out of the impound lot in DC. The floor was covered with syringes for diabetes, and there were chocolate flavored condoms in the glove compartment.

oddly enough, Jodi's prediction on santa fe was pretty much wrong. the true town square is just a church, shops, and museums. the restaurants are all just off the town square. and they are all really really overpriced. the best bang for your buck is just outside of downtown and up in the mountain towns like chimayo.
