Help Me Plan a Roadrtip Given the Confines Described in this Thread

I live in Fort Worth.

I am leaving Thursday, June 22nd at around noon and have to be back to work on June 27th around 1:30 PM.

I am going with Deylene.

Budget is a concern but not a major worry.

Essentially we will have Thursday afternoon/night to drive, all day Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday to enjoy. Then get up crack of dawn on Tuesday and be back at work by Tuesday at 1:30.

I usually like to go to more than one place on my trip.

It's gotta be no more than 12 hours to final destination and 8 hours to first destination.

SOME IDEAS I HAD:

Trip A: Drive to Memphis, then Nashville, then back through either Hot Springs or Little Rock. Friday/Saturday morning in Memphis; Saturday, Sunday in Nashville; Monday afternoon/evening in Hot Springs or Little Rock.

Trip B: Drive to New Orleans, then through Biloxi, on to Pensecola, back through Vicksburg and on home. Friday, Saturday morning in New Orleans

Trip C: Panhandle/West Texas Trip. Palo Duro Canyon, Amarillo, Archer City to Larry McMurtry's Bookstore which is the largest used booksotore in America, other sites along the way in Panhandle.

Trip D: Another New Mexico trip. This time focus on Northern part of state. Santa Fe and Indian country.

Trip E: Big Bend National Park and Marfa Ghost Lights.

Trip C is the least exciting but the most manageable. Trip E would be my choice but not during summer. Trip D would be great but our last roadtrip was New Mexico. Trip B is way too much driving in 5 days and hitting the Gulf Coast during hurricane season. Trip A is probably just about too much driving as well.

What are some other ideas?
