It seems that you have a lot of fault in this. Her message doesn't state that "Hey I understand your feelings but I don't feel the same." It's more like you did some fucked up shit and now she's not dealing with it anymore. I think I got that same message about 10 years ago but it was from my ex and not just "my friend". Hope it works out but I believe your right about losing her. Sorry.
