Arrow Souvie, Tell Your Habs to Turn it Up a Notch

I got money on em. Figured the way Huet has been playing this would be a pretty easy win. But they can't get it by Olie the Goalie.

fucking Caps scored with 2 seconds left in the third to tie it at 2.

thankfully captain Koivu put it away in OT, I think it was his first goal in 24 games or something...

we really needed that win given that both the Devils and the Bolts won tonight.

so there's still a three way tie in 6th place.

Whewwwwwwwww. Thought Alexander the Great was about to end it there in OT. Then back the other way for a SCOOOOOOORE. 4 on 4 is crazy.

how's the Kings-Oilers game going ?

I heard the Oilers were up 2-0 after the first period but nothing since then... the Oilers are my team in the west so I hope they win...

I don't have access to websites to check the scores right now from work (although Netphoria isn't blocked for some reason)

Well, Kings are losing 4-0, 3rd period about to start.
They look like absolute shit. I think they've had one decent scoring chance. I wouldn't be surprised if Garon beat the shit out of our defensemen after this game.

My preseason pick was an all-Canadian Final 4 of Calgary-Vancouver and Ottawa-Montreal. Although this looks pretty far-fetched right now, Huet gives Montreal a chance if he keeps this shit up.

man it's unbelievable the rebound control this guy have, it's like his equipment is sticky or something, the puck the stucks to him and kills off the offence time after time.

Yeah. Garon has had some really bad defense in front of him, in his, um, defense. I've never seen so many 2-on-1's and stuff...it would be interesting to see what Huet or Luongo or other rad goalies can save with our team supposedly playing in front of them.

OILERZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got back from three hours of hockey, to find that Dwayne has gotten himself a shutout. I didn't see a second of the game, but 31-20 in shots looks good.

Marc-Antoine Puliot got his first ever NHL game in finally, 10 minutes of ice time and a shot on net, along with a very impressive 67% on the faceoffs. Good first game kid....

Why do the Coyotes always beat the Kings (6 of 7 this year I believe)

Why do the Caps always beat the Canes (4 of 6 this year and something like 16 of last 22)

it's called random chance.

St. Louis is also 4-0 against Vancouver. Over 1230 games, there are bound to be a few odd patterns.

No but Phoenix owns San Jose over the past 5 seasons or so and the Caps own the Canes period. It makes no sense because San Jose has been better than the Coyotes and the Canes have been at least as good as the Caps.

Well what sort of explanation might there be? I think random chance is as good as any.

If you consider every game a weighted coin flip, then you're gonna get some odd patterns happening.

Why does phoenix own san jose over the last 5 years? Does phoenix have some special hate towards san jose that makes them play better every time AND trancends all the roster and front office turnover that you get over 5 years? Not that I can think of...

I'd just think it's chance.
