it keeps shutting down on me

then, i try to open it and it won't

what i've learned to do is to go the task manager and for some reason there's still a "firefox" open

i close that

wait a few moments, then open it up again

yeah, that used to happen to me and i'd do the same....but now it never opens at all, and the task manager doesn't show it as open. so i dunno.

Question

have you tried Firefox's safe mode

i had the deal where it was still running in the task manager after closing it, and it wasn't a virus or anything, just some extension acting up or being incompatible after an update or such.

try restarting.

if not, I'd just suggest to uninstall and then open up iexplore and downloaded the newest Firefox. this happened to me and that did the trick.
