Default Fun at work!

I was working on one job, all day, since 7 this morning till now. 6
and a half hour of straight work.

It was over 500 mb big. It was over 200 pages long….

PC just crashed, corrupted the file and I lost it all.

And I really don't have time for this. My workload is so huge, I've been….
Ah.

You have no idea how much this has fucked with my work. I'm so fucking angry.

I don't have 6.5 hours to casually throw away. This is one of the
busiest times it's been since I've been working here…

And now this huge job which is needed for Friday, and I was close to finishing…

Just lost it all.

Hooray.

Haha.

I cant believe this actually.

But what can I do?
Oh well.

Such is life, I guess.

The stresses of work. Hmmm…. Good fun.

that sucks :/

its probably not as frustrating as if you'd done it yourself though, a couple of times this year ive been called into a meeting whilst working on a website design and i've closed photoshop and clicked no to 'do you want to save' without thinking, thats fucking annoying.

ong bak and fist of legend btw you bastard. i would copy you my fist of legend if i could but its acting funny when i try and rip it.

I did that a couple of times when I first started working here. Haha.

But now it’s like, ingrained in my brain, cntrl+s every few minutes.

Man, I honestly have looked for the movies, seriously. People tell me to look on the internet to buy them, but they don’t have other suggestions.

Our video stores here aren’t like, huge, and they cater to the masses, so if you come and ask for something moderately obscure they just give you funny looks

But I have not given up hope yet.

My dad goes away to the UK on the 10th of November, and it’s my birthday on the 23rd, he said he’ll get me some stuff there for my big day. Do you think I should ask him to look out for these mebbie?

Well, I contacted our computer department to come have a look, but they say they cant help.

What happened was the file was so big (over 500MB, like I said) and when I was trying to save it everything slowly froze up and the program crashed.

I restarted, tried to open it again, and now powerpoint is saying it cant determine the type.

The back up file is a .tmp, so I cant even use that.

My phone is also on the other side of the city, and I cant get there cause my bike is in the shop, and since it’s a grey import I’m waiting too damn long for parts. They’re just waiting for the front forks to come in, but they have no idea how long it’ll take to get there.

Grrr.

And I’ve been out of herb, so I’ve been upset about that.

However, after the PC crashed I went out for a smoke break and started chatting to a guy here who told me he had a bag of quality which he would hang on to for me till I’m finished work.

So at least I have that consolation. Go home, relax, have a decent smoke and forget.

Heh.

i do that!

sometimes i end up saving over shit that i didn't want to. like if i want to try something. i'll often save over the old work, that i want to revert back to, by mistake.

now i save as all the time. i end up with hundreds of mbs of shit taht i prolly don't want. hundreds of different files, each only slightly different from the one before... :erm

when i did my thesis, i was a compulsive saver of note! i backed up on to cd every morning. i had cd archives so that i could 'roll-back' to any design at any given point. i was pathetic. my thesis files ended up being like 20gb.

I don't think Ong Bak is out to buy here yet, but i woulda though he should easily find Fist of Legend in any virgin or hmv. It's also usually about £5 whenever I see it.

I'll try and download a better version of ong bak now it's been out a while and if it works i'll burn it.

Don’t go through the mission if it’s just for me!

Unless you want a nicer version for yourself.

I’ll definitely tell him to get Fist of Legend.

Right now, in fact, I’ll send him an email. Ha.

COMING TO DVD AUGUST 24!

Ong Bak

2 DISCS SPECIAL EDITION
OVER 3 HOURS OF EXTRAS!

Bruce Lee..Jackie Chan...Jet Li move over - a new champion has arrived and his name is Tony Jaa!

To fight for the honour of his village, he must unleash the ancient art of Muay Thai.

In a poor village in rural Thailand the Nong Pra-du temple houses the sacred statue of Ong Bak. The villagers believe that Ong Bak has magical powers that keep them safe and prosperous. One night, former villager Don cuts off and steals the head of Ong Bak to gain favor with crime boss Khom Tuan.

Without the head of Ong Bak- the village will fall into ruin. All hopes for survival now rest on the shoulders of orphan villager Ting- a reluctant but gifted Muay Thai boxer who must travel to the seedy streets of Bangkok and fight for the life of his village.

Ong Bak contains the most devastating martial arts ever filmed. No wires, no stunt doubles, no CGI - just the awesome power of martial arts newest master- Tony Jaa.

Awesome, you folk know it.

I watched the Movie and the series for Ninja Scroll, and the series was good, but the movie was awesome.

And seriously, check out Samurai Champloo, you wont be disappointed.

They bring in aspects like hip hop and graffiti and stuff, the one main guy even fights in like a break dancing style thing, it’s cool.

But the fight scenes specifically are awesome, they like, speed parts up, like as someone is about to get hit, and then slow them down nicely again….

I don’t know, just check it out.

Heh.

Oh yeah, it’s a series, not a movie. But it’s awesome.
