Alright. My DVD player is hooked up to the receiver and sound system. The sound is working on everything else, but it is not working on the DVD player. I don't see any cords that are not plugged in.
What could this be? Hey I didn't flunk out of engineering school for nothing |

do you have to select which audio outputs to use on the dvd player (e.g. rca/optical/etc.)?

I have an S-Video cord going the TV and AV outputs going to the receiver. Not sure if that's what you were asking.

Is this a new or existing set-up?

okay, so what happens when you go into the dvd player setup gui? is there an option to select the relevant audio outputs or is it auto-selecting?

If you're confident no settings could have been changed, then swap out the audio cables. Otherwise I cant think of anything.
Actually, try running the audio through the TV, that should tell you if its the player or receiver. |
