i've heard yams are sweet potatos, they are just a different strain grown in a different place.. i dunno. i got sweet potatos to make camdied yams which I thought were candied sweet potatos and i was very upset with the results.

Update: I thought they were yams until I opened them and saw that they were sweet potatoes. Still great!

I don't know, but I really don't like sweet potatoes. Apparently I used to like them as a kid when they were baked with a lot of brown sugar and butter. But now I don't even like them when they are cooked that way!

I'm pretty sure they're called yams while raw and "sweet potatoes" when they're cooked and that's how it works.

I love sweet potatoes, but Boston Market's freaking suck. they put oatmeal in the sweet potatoes for texture, and I think it's grosss.
