I'm not going to read the rest of this thread but here's maybe an answer to the initial question.

Females always seem to have an epiphany moment of "falling in love". Like one minute, not in love, the next, in love. Guys don't have that. For guys it's a gradual process which takes much longer usually unless the guy is a psycho. Usually the more the female pressures the guy to "say it" the longer it takes because he's thinking about it and not letting it happen naturally. On the flipside, females can also fall out of love much easier than guys because, again, it can be like an on/off process where one minute there's love and the next, no love. Women fall faster and more often, guys fall less often and deeper. Just look at most rebounds: females usually have emotional rebounds where the next guy they meet becomes the "Greatest Guy Ever" and can do no wrong. Guys rebound for sex.


This is of couse a generalization, but almost universally true.
