because it cuts off the junk and zooms in on what matters for my small tv. movies are shot so whats on the edges can be cut off. and when im watching it on a tiny little box id rather be able to tell whats going on than pretend im in a movie theater looking in the wrong end of a pair of binoculars. that said, yo soy el mejor voted widescreen and i dont get to vote

It's not junk, it's what the director wanted in the shot!!

widescreen on my bigger tv and fullscreen on my smaller tv.

i honestly dont really care though, if it's a good movie, i usually forget im even watching it.

Noooooooo, Widescreen is so much better, anyone who prefers full-screen should be shot in the face. Sorry, thats just how it is.

nah its the same way wiht newspaper comics artists. they usually have plenty of space on a given strip that can be cut off for some papers' smaller allotted areas

im just saying, as long as the director is taking my small tv into consideration the way they still do today (though who knows for how much longer) id rather see things a decent size
