As a friendship develops, you start to consider the potential as partners. I guess convenience issues may come into play too, but I’m not sure.
That potential becomes tempting. Feelings develop based on that. Things get complicated. Friendships are never really the same again.

I don’t know. Beautiful loves can be born out of friendships too.

It’s up to you to decide whether or not to take the risk. Depends on what you want out of life at the time, and what you need. I don’t know. It’s a risk though, that I do know.

edit: i also believe some people are completely incapable of having platonic relationships with the opposite sex , and thats fine. I see people first as personalities, not genders.

I know in a friendship when I’ve developed feelings, I felt I was doing good by maintaining the façade of just a friendship. Like I was being good by not letting my feelings show. Over time I felt that I should be acknowledged for my fine skills of friendship maintenance. But the only way you’ll be acknowledged is if you confess. And if you confess, everything goes to shit. Well, maybe not. But probably.
Maybe your guy friends think the same way.

Another thing to consider: Friends get along cause they like each other. You have common interest and such, which is why you’re friends and not acquaintances.

It’s easy to start to wonder about future relationship potential with a friendship as a foundation.

But many guys are happy to sacrifice a friendship for a fuck.
Keep that in mind, ladies.
