don't know about Pacific Islands. They aren't big enough to have casinos I would imagine. Cruise shits that do the island routes might have casinos.

the casino here (Auckland) is pretty much dominated by Pacific Island people, Asian people and senior citizens.

Pacific Islanders are our least affluent people so the chance to double/blow your money appeals. Same with senior citizens using their pensions at the casino.

Now the Asian element is pretty negative because they sometimes set up these gambling syndicates that intimidate gamblers that move in on their part of the casino.

The casino was pretty flashy for a while but middle-class white people don't go to the casino regularly, it just doesn't appeal. They spend their $$$ on cocaine these days.

In NZ, you can gamble if you are of age (18 yrs I believe, correct me if I am wrong). Sky City (big ass multinational company) has built a few casinos around the country. Placing money on horses, greyhounds, sports, whatever can be done at a local store/bar with a TAB outlet attached. Kids can place bets depending on how staunch the guy behind the counter is in upholding the law.
