I've noticed this too:

He becomes very insulted when his vulnerablity is brought into question. When he has been sick and I've tried to take care of him, he has become very hostile and "I can do it myself" bullshit comes through. And whenever I do nice things for him, it's always tinged with a somewhat "I didn't need you to do that."

I mean, not all the time. It's not abusive or anything. Just something I've noticed.

I think he is afraid to admit discomfort with his sexuality or lifestyle in general because it will show some kind of weakness.

But apparently our friend Emily outed him at dinner.

He will be home in 10 minutes.

I think it is bullshit that I'm made to feel like the bad, uncompassionate, "get the fuck over it," guy when I really just don't understand his situation because he hasn't been truthful about it.
