I most certainly can.. This is the first year of my career so I've been working full time right through summer for the first time ever.. I've only had part time work through summer before when I was at college and uni.

I had the holiday of a lifetime at the end of may, but ever since I've been looking forward to going away august 25th, and it already feels like I've been waiting way too long for it.

i've still got a good solid two weeks left, and they might be the craziest part of the summer. work is dragging. i can't wait to get back down to part time, especially with this gung ho new boss of mine. i'm still living half in the hell hole and half with various friends, so september couldn't come fast enough in that respect. this summer was fucking crazy- started off nice, crazy but not TOO crazy, and then BANG turned into an absolutely mind blowing party-fest and gave me a whole new huge network of facinating people, and a new pespective as well. i'll have to make sense of all my new thoughts and revelations and write them out once it's really done with.

Man, these threads are depressing because I hate thinking about the work that's coming up. Well, studying, in my case.

If I wasn't laid off from my job, I'd still be working, but even though I'm living in poverty, I feel great about the lack of workload. What a burden.

Summer being over is a blessing and a curse. A blessing because of good weather (lol, or at least it the weather will be more bearable and under 100 degrees ALL THE TIME - now it gets to go down to 80) but a curse because of school coming back around. And ugh. Finding a job after that since it's my last semester. I hate my life.

I live in Aspen Hill, which is near Silver Spring if you're not a DC area resident.

Oh, well it's basically a nothing suburban town on the crossroads of Washington DC and the countryside. Both are 15 minutes away. It's a very odd mix of lower class and upper class people living practically next to each other. But, other than that, it's a nothing suburban town.

It's funny to call me redbull because my name looks like redbull to Neopryn and Jerome and the other first class comedians on this board.

I see. Do you have any pictures of your town?

Have you ever explained the significance of your user name?

Anyone remember Banjo-Kazooie? Kazooie was a red-crested breegull. I've had this sn for five years as of next week, and I've used it on about 100 boards since. I've also never changed my IM name,

No, I don't have any pictures of my home town right now. I guess I could take some. The upper class areas are filled with pretty houses. I live in kind of shitty apartments surrounded by people who don't speak English, and people who think they are gangstas,

I always take my vacation from work at the end of the summer, so it feels like I've actually done *something* during 4 months off of school. I'll be getting back from vacation 14 hours before my first class this semester.

:erm

at any rate, if he were a new zealander he would be complaining about winter, as the seasons are the opposite way around in the northern and southern hemispheres.

now take out your math's book, we're doing long division today

i think summer's been a mixed blessing for me. on one hand, i finally accomplished tons of things i'd been forever procrastinating on for eons(i.e. making CD labels for CD-Rs, hanging out and/or getting in touch with old friends, seeing bands in concert i'd never seen before(Weezer, Green Day, Pixies, Bravery), etc.). on the other hand, its been a wash in other categories(failure in getting up to Great America, dropping a summer Stats class i probably could've passed, had the professor not sucked so much, and didn't teach it at a shockingly uber-fast rate(EVEN for summer class standards)).

but ah well, hopefully fall will be less of a mixed bag that this summer has been(though its been better than last summer, at least). as of now, i'm making progress towards transferring to a college outside of Chicagoland by spring '06 semester, and also accomplishing a side goal of living on my own(boo to the Stats class standing in my way of accomplishing this ) and landing a new job would be nice, too, as i'd like to move on from the one i have. just now keeping my head up and my fingers crossed that fall goes better...

heh, that sounds like one particular Chicago suburb right there. *cough* Evanston *cough* (if you ever drove through there or live there, you'd understand)
