Flakes!!

so i set my buddy up with a phone interview with my boss. i have a ton of respect for my boss, and his respect for me is real important to me.

if my boss felt my buddy was a good fit, we'd fly him out for an onsite interview.

but my buddy didn't call in for the interview! so i called his phone, no answer. he then txted me saying his phone was broken, though he could text.

i'm not entirely certain i believe that his phone was the problem. true his phone may be broken. but if you really want to make the interview, you communicate that your phone is broken before the interview, and we find a workaround, such as a payphone, or he borrows a phone.

long story short, he made me look bad. i apologized to my boss, and he said no problem, but we each did waste some time on this. i said "well you know in the mafia how you vouch for someone..." he said not to worry, it wouldn't reflect badly on me, but on some level, it will. i had talked this guy up to get him the interview..

oh well, fuckin flake.
