Question best way to react to an engagement annoucement?

so anyway, its about an hour ago and I'm all doped up on Codine and other things from an ear infection I developed last night and I have to read about 200 pages to study today today so I'm taking a nap. Next thing I know my sister walks into my room and is like "you're sleeping" and I tell her I'm sick and on heavy medication and blah blah blah in a very montone voice.

So she's like, in her very chirpy voice "We got a surprise for you!"

and I say in a very montone tired voice: "Ok..."

and then she shows me this engagement ring.

and I say in a very monotone and tired voice: "Ok..." and then "Ok..." and then I started bitching and threw a pillow ontop of my head cuz that's a pretty mean trick to pull when I'm all doped up on medication. I mean, really, think about it, I can barely string 2 sentances and she has to drop this bombshell on me. Boo-urns to that one. Then I was convinced it was something from a crackerjack box but she showed me it up close and it looked all real and stuff.

But yeah, I am happy. well about as enthused as I can be when my brain is operating at a minimal levels.

Afterwards my sister was disgusted by the appearance of my bedroom so she grabed garbage bags and started cleaning up. At which point I started yelling at her fiance "You're gonna have my DAD as a FATHER IN LAW!!! HAVE YOU THOUGHT OF THAT?! HUH?! You haven't taken the consequences of your actions!"

For an egagement present I burned her a CD of the movie "Orgasmo" then told them to get the fudge out cuz I had to study.

All in all, it wasn't the most typical reaction you could have, but it was very me. On the plus side, I can't wait to be known as "The druken Burn-out Uncle Al"

anyone else got any good reactions-to-engagement annoucement stories?

Actually, considering you were doped up so much, I think that was a truly wonderful reaction!
