Me, Futureboy, and Greenseggesandspam do.

I like it. Its not all about the touch screen. You only use it for some games. Using it as an analog screen for Mario 64 takes a while to learn. The games where the stylus is a plus are your basic minigame/puzzle games like Yoshis Touch and Go, Wario Ware, Feel the Magic, Polarium, and Meteos which just got release this week and is highly addictive. More games will be out soon, which will not be use the stylus except for certain parts.

I've bought my system on Launch day and have been very pleased with it. The only game I bought was Mario 64 DS which is one of my favorite Mario and 64 game ever.
Finished it completely 3 times, and then moved onto WarioWare Touched.

I've been a fan of the WarioWare series so far (even though I haven't played Twisted yet).. There is plenty of items to unlock and it's just a strange game play experience trying something like this on the DS. A handful of minigames are just controlled by the Mic, so you have to blow in and out into your system to make your "character" move... It's retarded to see someone else play, but it's fun for yourself.
I think there is 200 minigames in totally, and broken down into sections. Tap the screen, Circle around, Blow the mic, Draw patterns...

Then I went out and bought Yoshi's Touch and Go a few days after release.
This style of game was made for the DS. It uses both screens at once (no fucking map), the touch screen is the primary use of the control. It has Wireless Multiplayer so you and another friend can go head to head. And the mic is in use if you need to erase all the clouds off your screen.
As baby Mario falls from the sky, it is your job to grab coins, circle enemies, and guide him safely to the ground as yoshi awaits there. Seems really fucking easy, but getting all those coins can be a pain in the dick. And depending on how well you do, a different style of Yoshi will appear... which changes the whole output on your next adventure: To guide Yoshi/Mario across the screen to the finish.

There is several kinds of modes to choose from, but there is no real storyline. :/ If you were a fan of NES style games where the object of the game is to beat your score, you'll fucking love this game like myself. Multiplayer doesn't get boring either, even though it is a race, and enemies appear depending on how well your oppenent is good at killing enemies.

Then I rented Kirby Canvas Curse last week. And IMO is better than Yoshi's Touch and Go.
It still has the same feel to it where you scroll side the side and your control is done with the stylus.. but this time there is a storyline of sorts, and hidden objects thrown in to give the player more replay value.
The beginning starts out pretty easy as if it was a tutorial, but as your progress, levels become more wild, more enemies appear and harder medals to obtain. The game is a little on the short side, but what Kirby game isn't?
After you complete the game, in order to gain 100% you have to go back thorugh all the levels, obtain all the medals, and SPOILER JUST IN CASE Finish the game 3 more times iwth the new characters you have unlocked.

I am going to be buying Kirby in the next coming weeks after my birthday money arrives.

Next game I tried: Meteos.
I can't describe the strangeness and awesomeness of this game. If you are a fan of puzzle games, this is a must for the DS.
The game has a storyline, even though I'm not really sure what it is.. there is several different modes to play:
Simple mode: Play with how many lives you want 99 Lives MAX... you with how much time you want 99 mins MAX.
You can also play with up to 3 computer controled enemies, at various levels of skill.
Star Trip: This is your story mode as you have three different options of gamplay.
1. Straight Course of Planets.
2. Branch Course of Planets. (pretty much always different as you can choose back and forth which planets you want to try out)
3. Multi Course of Planets. (each stage has a certain mission you must complete, and it varies in how many players you are up againest, and which planets you are fighting.)

Then there is Time War. In this mode you must complete for a high score within a predetermined field.
There are two rule set: Time War and Meteo War

There is also Deluge mode which is play until you fail. It varies in skill, and shit falls down fast anyways..
Most I've played this mode for was 3mins and 30 secs.

But I never told you what this game is about.
Pretty much there are these falling blocks and you can rearrange them up and down any way you like. You have to form 3 or more of a set of the same color in order to make an explosion which rockets these blocks off the screen and againest other planets.
These coolors can either line up vertically or horizontally.
As time goes on, and after you die, the blocks swifty pick up speed and fall faster and faster. You must then as fast as you can grab a number of blocks and try o clear the screen, and still fight off you enemy.

There are dozens of styles of planets, each with different colors, different amounts of gravity, and different opponents/objectives.

I am also gunna pick up this next week when I get the money, as I love puzzle games, and this one really gets me addicted.

These so far are all the games I played for the DS, and love everyone of them. Some of them can take hours to finish... others are most enjoyed in short spurts of gameplay.
They all are unique in a way, and rounds of what this system is capable of doing over the coming years.

There are literally dozens of games out I want to try for this system.. it just takes awhile for them to come out in the US
There was a time when I lost faith that this system was going to flop but now I see at least 1 game a month that I want to try.

But it's all up to you what style of games you are looking for.
If you want pretty graphics, and games you are familiar with from this generation go with the PSP.
If you are looking for something new to try, and a variety of innovative games I'd say go with the DS.

I don't remember if you are Canadian or not... :/
But if you buy the new Electric Blue DS you get a free copy of Super Mario 64 DS for free, and you can buy the new released game "Meteos" for $9.99
The majority of places though are allowing you to buy the Platinum DS and do the same thing.. so at least you get an option of which color you like.

Games I myself am interested in playing and perhaps buying if any good:
I thought I'd post this just to give you an idea of what games are coming out.

A Boy and His Blob :erm I loved this game as aa kid.. so if it gets a good score I will rent it.

Advance Wars: Dual Strike

Age of Empires: The Age of Kings I've heard a lot of good things about it... so I might give it a try if places score it 7 or above.

Animal Crossing DS This is a given. I can't fucking wait to move in with players. Esty, give me your AC name when this one comes out

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow

DSpeak Not really a game, but is is going to be VOIP. The demo of it was at E3 this year, if they start selling, I would definately buy it.

Final Fantasy III If this is any good, I think I might have to start playing RPGs. the touch screen works perfect for this style of game, if they pull it off right this could be a big hit.
Same goes for Final Fantsay Crystal Cronicals.

Katamari Damacy Speaks for itself, fucking awesome.

Legend of Zelda DS There is a lot of talk saying this is not another 4 swords game but a Zelda release. I just hope they give me some scans or something soon

Lost in Blue

Mario & Luigi 2 Fucking loved the original, this one looks pretty good aswell.

Mario Kart DS I bought every Mario Kart game since I first got my SNES. I heard there is going to be 30 courses this time around.. and with 1-4 player Internet play this will kick ass.

Metroid Prime Pinball hey what can I say, I am a nintendo whore.

Metroid Prime: Hunters

Nanostray

Need for Speed Most Wanted Hope this is better than the other one which got pretty shitty reviews. I'm looking for a really good racing game, besides Mario Kart.

New Super Mario Bros.

Nintendogs: Chihuahua & Friends

Nintendogs: Dachshund & Friends I want to play this one the most.

Nintendogs: Lab & Friends

Sonic Rush Finally a 2D sonic game that is fastpase and on 2 screens.

Super Princess Peach Peach definatly needed her own game one time or another.

Tony Hawk's American Wasteland I love all the Tony Hawk games, and this one is going to be online

Trace Memory

Trauma Center: Under the Knife

Viewtiful Joe DS
